Casa Nawalli is named after two Mesoamerican words: Nahual is the sorcerer, who transforms into elements of Nature in order to learn from her; and Tate Naaliwa, Wirarika goddess of rain, mother to all flowers. We decided to become a living garden where one could share exuberant fruits of life, a blooming oasis of flowers and starry nights.

Our main amenities are the 323 sq ft. (30 sq. m) heated salt water pool with its sun bathing area, and the luscious pergola lounge with bar, kitchen, premium grill and coffee station. All is equipped with top quality furniture and accessories.

Most species in our exuberant tropical gardens are not only beautiful but edible, medicinal, or sustainably useful as well. Cranberry hibiscus, elderberries, moringa, mango, lotus, sweet potatoes, and a variety of bananas, just to mention some of them. We also have an orchard where we’ll be harvesting other seasonal produce.

A Mexico vacation unlike any other

We recently spent 3 months in Mexico we stayed in Mexico City, La Paz, Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta, Sayulita (Twice) Puerto Escondido. We stayed at Casa Nawalli 2 times total of 30 nights, it was the best accommodation we stayed in the whole, the staff and owners where fantastic, the accommodation was spotless and the best maintained place we stayed in the whole of Mexico. Special mention to Oswaldo and the grounds and cleaning staff, they could not do enough for you. We can highly recommend Casa Nawalli Sayulita to anyone travelling to Mexico. I had a wonderful five night stay at Casa Nawalli. Oswald, the hotel concierge, is a wonderful host and made me feel very welcome during my stay as a solo female traveler. The garden grounds are beautiful, with butterflies everywhere and tropical fruits growing including a huge mango tree. I enjoyed the breakfast each morning with delicious, strong coffee, fruit, yogurt, and banan bread. In the hotel plaza, Plaza Nawalli, there is a delicious frozen yogurt shop and cafe, which were both highlights of the trip and very convenient. The room was lovely and the housekeeping added fresh flowers from the garden upon arrival, which was a special touch. This area is quieter than the main area of Sayulita but a quick five minute walk to the main square. It was perfect for quiet nights and short walks to the beach, shopping, and, a wonderful yoga studio called The Rose Room. Conveniently, there is a mini mart across the street with a cash machine. Everything was lovely but the best part was the sweet kitty who lived in the garden and was great company while reading my book by the pool. Thanks Casa Nawalli!

Our friends rented the entire place on our wedding weekend. And we had a post-wedding pool party with a taco vendor on site. Let me tell you, we had an absolutely amazing time! The staff and owner are incredibly friendly and will make sure you have everything you can dream of to make your stay an unforgettable one. Would highly recommend!

Highly recommend staying at Casa Nawalli! It is perfectly located on a quiet street, close enough to the town center but far enough to be quiet at night. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful, a pool surrounded by a well-kept garden of grass, large trees and shrubs. Very tranquil and gorgeous space to have a morning coffee surrounded by greenery. The rooms are large, well decorated, very clean and have excellent air conditioning. Great wifi too. The hotel staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and you can tell from the upkeep, attention to detail and the service that the staff and owner care deeply about the guests’ stays. I would definitely stay here again, especially in a large group and rent the place out.
